FAQ

Microblading, Micropigmentation , Permanent Makeup

DOES IT HURT?

It is slightly uncomfortable but completely bearable. The tattooing process lasts about an hour.  Bella Ink uses an excessive amount of numbing and her technique is extremely gentle. Everyone has a different pain tolerance, so some clients may not need numbing agents and some may need more that others. If you are nervous about pain, you may take 1-2 Tylenol 30 minutes before your appointment. DO NOT take Advil or drink a coffee before your appointment. Coffee and Advil will cause you to bleed lots and also make you more sensitive during the procedure.

CAN I GET LIP BLUSH IF I HAVE DARK/COOL TONED LIPS?

Yes, however, on the first session we will have to color correct your lips to cancel out the cool tones. This means the initial color we tattoo MUST be orange! If we are to tattoo any other color you risk darkening your lips further or having absolutely no results at all. When healed at 6 weeks, most if not all of the darkness in your lips will be covered and your lips will have a nudey-pink even tone. Note that results cannot be guaranteed and lightening or evening out dark lips may take a few sessions. Under no circumstances will Tess tattoo a "NUDE" color on dark or cool toned lips. If you are unsure if you have dark or cool toned lips you can send Tess a picture of your lips in natural light to confirm.

CAN I STILL GET LIP BLUSH IF I HAVE LIP FILLER?

Yes! in no way does having Lip filler interfere with the process of tattooing lips or the results. Not that lip filler and lip blush appointments MUST be at least 4 weeks apart from each other.

What is SCALP Micropigmentation?
Scalp Micropigmentation is a hair follicle replication procedure which helps individuals who are experiencing hair loss, or who may have scarring on their heads that they wish to cover up

How long SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION  treatment will take?
Treatments will take roughly 3-4 hours for the first session, then around 2-3 hours for the second session.

Will people be able to tell I have had SCALP treatment done?
The look I provide is unbelievably realistic. If you don’t tell them, they won’t know.

What is the average time between sessions?
Bella Ink Aesthetics always suggest to our clients to wait at least seven days after their initial treatment to have a second session. Every procedure package comes with at least two treatments. This secondary procedure ensures optimal results while allowing for minor adjustments to the hairline and color after the product has had the necessary time to cure.

Do you offer a satisfaction guarantee?
Here at Bella Ink Aesthetics, client satisfaction is our main concern. We provide two sessions with every package. If you would like a 3rd session to go even darker or to make any adjustments to your treatment, it is a flat cost of either $700 for 2 hours

Do I need to shave my head before the procedure?
Every case is different. After viewing images of your scalp, Bella Ink Aesthetics will make sure you are prepared and fully informed before your procedure.

How long do I have to wait after receiving my treatment before I can shave with a razor?
At the very least, one week. Your scalp is still in the healing process for at least one week after this treatment. We also recommend an electric foil shaver for the first few shaves after your treatment.

What if my scalp is feeling dry?
If we notice your scalp is dry, we will recommend a moisturizing regimen to start one week after your procedure.

When am I able to expose my head to sunlight?
You should wait at least 30 days after your procedure date before exposing your scalp to the sunlight without a hat or sunscreen. We recommend that you use a sunscreen with SPF 30, or a cap / hat for any time that you are out in the first month.

What should I be cautious of in the days following my treatment?
In the first four days following your treatment, you must avoid getting your scalp wet. This includes both washing the treatment areas and sweating in the treatment areas. When showering, ensure that neither water nor shampoo does not reach your scalp. Avoid activities that may cause you to sweat, such as running, weightlifting, and over-exposure to the sun. Going about normal daily work and home activities in the first four days is fine, so long as they do not cause you to sweat on the treatment area.

Fibroblast

WHAT IS PLASMA FIBROBLAST?

Fibroblast Tightening treatment is a revolutionary method for a perfect facial rejuvenation.

The term “Soft Surgery” is used to describe the treatment because it delivers results similar to surgery, with no scalpel, stitches or bandages and minimal downtime. It is important to have in mind that surgical methods are far more expensive and the surgery risk of anesthesia, stitches, swelling, long downtime, possible complications, bruises are very common, while the end results are comparable with the Plasma Fibroblast treatment.  A minimally invasive procedure with much lower risk and at a more affordable price than actual surgery.

HOW DOES PLASMA FIBROBLAST SKIN TIGHTENING  WORK?

Plasma skin tightening is relatively new in North America, but has been safely and effectively performed in Europe for many years. Plasma Fibroblast has increased in popularity due to its many advantages over surgery.  There is less downtime, it’s less expensive, no cutting of the skin and no stitches. This means you can return to work even sooner. The precision device works by utilizing the voltage in the air between it’s tip and the skin, to form a plasma charge. An electrical arc is created and instantly shrinks the targeted skin. This micro-trauma stimulates new collagen (neocollagenesis). The tissue retraction and tightening gives results that are comparable to invasive surgery. A series of tiny brown spots placed to attain the desired result for the excess skin.  The skin around the spot tightens pulling the cells closer together. It’s the only non-surgical treatment to reduce the excess skin instantly and successfully.

WHAT DOES PLASMA FIBROBLAST SKIN TIGHTENING TREAT?

  • Eyelid Tightening, including lower eyelids and excess upper eyelid skin.

  • lifting of the midface

  • Lifting of the neck

  • Neck lines

  • Jowls and neck tightening

  • Reduction of loose skin on knees, hands, elbows

  • Lines and wrinkles around the mouth

  • Belly loose skin reduction

  • Tightening loose stomach skin after pregnancy

  • Removal of all kinds of wrinkles: upper lip wrinkles, reducing smile lines, nasolabial lines (smile lines), marionette lines, crow’s feet

  • Eliminating saggy skin

  • Improving acne scars and

  • Diminishing stretch marks

  • Improvement in the appearance of acne scars

  • Hyperpigmentation/sun damage

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

As Fibroblast is more than a simple tightening treatment the effects should last as long as they would with invasive surgery. Like all surgical and  cosmetic procedures, the effects of fibroblast are not entirely permanent as it does not stop any further ageing, However, the results you get should last you for many years. The positive effects of treatment will be noticeable immediately after the first treatment, and continuing over 4 weeks.  Additionally, there are lifestyle factors that can prevent the result from lasting as long as they can, such as smoking, alcohol. consumption, and prolonged sun exposure.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?

The number of treatments required will vary according to the area being treated, skin’s laxity, the desired degree of correction and the individual’s response to the treatment.  Most clients see results instantly and this continues to improve over the course of the following 8 weeks.  Further treatments ca be carried out to get better results, although is is uncommon to require more than two treatments. Appointments must be spaced out by 8 weeks.

WHAT KING OF SIDE EFFECTS CAN I EXPECT?

Plasma Fibroblast has been shown to be a safe non-invasive procedure when done by a fully certified technician. However, as with most cosmetic procedures, patients are likely to experience some minor side effects in the first five to ten days after treatment. There will be some tiny brown marks in the treatment area. This is the result of scabbing and will flake away over a week or so, exposing a pink layer of healthy new skin.  Some patients will also experience three to five days of swelling, especially with eyelid treatment. There is no damage to surrounding areas or deeper skin layers. To avoid sides effects, follow the aftercare instruction given to you prior to your treatment.

WHO SHOULDN’T GET A PLASMA FIBROBLAST TREATMENT?

Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not get a treatment.

The treatment is also not advised for candidates with very dark skin. This is because the risk of hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation is much higher.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR DAY OF TREATMENT?

On the treatment day, it is recommended that no make-up, moisturizer is worn on the treatment area. Just come in with clean skin, We suggest taking an antihistamine one hour before your appointment and continue to take antihistamines for two to three days after your appointment. This will reduce swelling in the treatment area.  A NUMBING agent is placed on treatment area and left to take effect for 30 to 45 minutes, When the area is sufficiently numb the treatment will begin. During the treatment you may feel some heat and minor irritation. Swelling may intensify over the following few hours when eyes are treated and may last 2-3 days. Treatment time will last from 45 minutes and up to several hours depending on the size of the treatment area.  During your first appointment you will be given aftercare instructions. Following these instructions is critical for best results.  No exfoliators or harsh cleansers can be used in the week following treatment. We recomend a pH balanced soap such as Dove. You should also avoid rubbing or scratching the treated area.

PRE- INSTRUCTIONS

Like most skin rejuvenation treatments, there may be some side-effects post-treatment and recovery from Fibroblast. You must follow these important guidelines carefully if you wish to enjoy optimal results and protect your investment in Fibroblast treatment.
Although for most Fibroblast treatment is virtually pain-free, your own treatment may be moderately uncomfortable and sensitive depending on where you are being treated – especially eyelid procedures where the skin is at its thinnest – and your own sensitivities and tolerances.
Before Your Treatment
1. Avoid any kind of tanning (Spray tanning, tanning injections, sun tanning and tanning beds) for 2 to 4
weeks before your treatment, especially if you are naturally darker skinned. You may even wish to consider using a natural Tyrosinase Inhibitor to helps ensure there is no overproduction of pigment in the skin aka hyperpigmentation.
2. Avoid any other type of procedures on the same area which you intend to have treated with Fibroblast, such as laser therapy, chemical peels, Botox, fillers, as this may prevent your treatment being performed by your technician at the time you want it.
• No facial acids (Retin A, salicylic, glycolic) 14 days before or 21 days after Fibroblast. • No Botox or fillers 21 days before or after Fibroblast. • No Micro needling/PRP 21 days before or after Fibroblast. • No laser or peels (depending on intensity of peel) for 90 days before or after Fibroblast. • Surgical procedures like face lifts you must wait at least 9 months postop/before Fibroblast.

POST -TREATMENT EXPECTATIONS

Final results are visible 6 weeks after treatment. Follow up treatment may be performed after 6-8 weeks depending on your skin’s healing.

MAY I USE MAKEUP AFTER THE PLASMA FIBROBLAST TREATMENT?

Do not use makeup after the treatment, as it is generally not sterile.  First 5-6 days after the treatment, until the crusts fall off, use the antiseptic product and aftercare cream, applying it softly to the treated area.  When the crusts fall off, you may apply some makeup if necessary.

INKLESS STRETCH MARKS

INKLESS CAMOUFLAGE TECHNIQUE

The inkless technique is similar to a PMU camouflage tattoo except, instead of skin tone pigments on the skin, we use a variety of serums, oils, and vitamins or PRP to deposit into each stretch mark to help reduce and remove their appearance. This is an alternative to putting ink into your skin and a more natural approach. Unlike other treatments such as lotions, scrubs, lasers and more, our technique stimulates the skin to produce collagen - a naturally occurring protein that provides structure to the skin and other body areas.

Please see the following contraindications for this procedure and when it is NOT advised!

  • Pregnant or Nursing.

  • Diabetic

  • Use of accutane and/or retinol (in the past 6 months).

  • Avoid sunscreen, self-tanning or any cream that contains Vitamin D for 40 days.

  • Avoid perfume and deodorant near or in the treated area.

CAN I SUNTAN AFTER THE PROCEDURE?

For best long-term results, we recommend to apply a high SPF on the treated area prior to sun exposure.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

The length of the treatment depends on the size of the area to be treated.

On average, a small area takes around 1 hour and a big area up to 3 hours.

HOW QUICKLY WILL I SEE THE RESULT AFTER THE PROCEDURE?

30-90 days after your initial treatment. You should have a reliable visible indication of your final result. However, the more touch-ups you get the less visible your scar will be.
